National Car Rental’s Loyalty Program Extensions
National Car Rental is providing Emerald Club members with a robust loyalty extension. Specifically, loyalty benefits are being extended for customers by an additional year. Emerald Club Program Free Days, which were previously expiring on Dec. 31, 2020, will now expire on Dec. 31, 2021.
Both Emerald Club and Enterprise Plus are extending their elite tiers for another year as well, with expirations going from Feb. 28, 2021 to Feb. 28, 2022. Both loyalty programs are also rolling over any qualifying rentals and rental days above those needed to get members to the next tier.
Additionally, the expiration date on free days accrued from Emerald Club’s One Two Free (U.S.) and Rent Rent Reward (Canada) promotion was extended from June 15, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2020.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Emerald Club members could redeem their earned free days at any participating U.S. Enterprise Rent-A-Car neighborhood location, in addition to National locations, if they made their reservations by Dec. 31, 2020 for pick up by Jan. 31, 2021. And just recently participating Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations throughout Canada were added, as well.

Expedite your rental process when counter bypass is not an option by using the Counter Service. When you arrive at the rental facility, go to the dedicated Emerald Club line. Present your driver’s license and credit card, and then you will receive the rental agreement and keys to your vehicle. Some locations even feature a booth situated on the lot, which allows you to bypass the counter and process your rental.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions
National Car Rental is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness to keep customers safe while they’re on the go. Following guidance from leading health authorities and in partnership with the travel industry, National is going above and beyond their already rigorous cleaning protocols by introducing strict sanitizing procedures to protect the health and safety of all.
Maintaining clean vehicles has always been a priority but it’s even more critical right now. Each vehicle is thoroughly sanitized between each rental and backed with National’s Complete Clean Pledge. This includes washing, vacuuming, a general wipe down, and sanitizing with a disinfectant that meets leading health authority requirements. Particular attention is paid to more than 20-plus high-touch points, including:

- Steering wheel
- Steering column
- Seat belts
- Center console
- Door interiors
- Door pockets
- Interior door handles
- Exterior door handles
- Seat pockets/seat surfaces
- Areas between seats & consoles
- Areas between seats & doorjambs

There are also measures in place to ensure that vehicles are isolated and quarantined if needed.
Social distancing protocols have been put in place for when passengers board, ride, and depart from company shuttle buses. There is a limit on the number of passengers on each bus and passengers are encouraged to follow a one-way flow during boarding to ensure that people from different groups keep an appropriate distance from others.
High-touch areas of shuttles are cleaned and sanitized using a disinfectant between trips. This includes baggage racks, door handles, and seat backs. All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized with a disinfectant at least once per day.
The Complete Clean Pledge extends to all branch locations, as well. This includes sanitizing touchable surfaces with disinfectant throughout the day. High-touch areas such as countertops, phones, tablet devices, payment devices, and door handles are prioritized. The cleaning guidance set forth in the Complete Clean Pledge is also aligned with the U.S Travel Association’s (USTA) “Travel in the New Normal” guidance.
